Reflecting on 2024/25

Last season was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible efforts of club members, league administrators, referees, parents, guardians and most importantly, the players. The Finals highlighted the very best of grassroots football, both in talent and community spirit.

We were delighted to see a diverse mix of finalists from various leagues, highlighting the ambition and growth happening across the region. A special thank you goes to Westport United, whose top-tier facilities and hospitality made the Finals a memorable experience for all.

Beyond the finals, the competitions delivered thrilling moments and priceless experiences along the way. Teams, players, and matches all shaped their own narratives, adding extra excitement to their season and deepening everyone’s connection with the game.

The significance and meaning of the competitions is underscored by their widespread appeal, drawing participants from throughout the region.  Indeed the entry has grown over the past three seasons from 320 to 331 to 353 - an implicit vote of confidence for everyone's ongoing contribution.  

The introduction of live streaming for the finals was well received, with viewership exceeding 11,000, a decent number from a standing start. Looking ahead to 2025/26, we aim to expand coverage to more games and further enhance our digital promotion.
